ATOMIC Backland Tour Stop - 80 Mm

DESCRIPTION

The Atomic Backland Tour is a ski touring binding designed for those who want to minimize weight without sacrificing functionality on mountain excursions. The 80 mm plate width makes it compatible with medium-width touring skis, offering a good balance between downhill stability and uphill agility.

Technology and Construction

The front binding mechanism with a patented step-in system allows the boot to be automatically inserted into the correct position without needing to bend the knees or use hands, a significant advantage when wearing thick gloves or on a steep slope. The safety system is calibrated for controlled release, reducing the risk of unintentional disengagement during maneuvers. The binding's structure is made with high-strength composite materials that keep the overall weight to a minimum, a fundamental characteristic in Atomic's Backland line philosophy.

Uphill Management

The binding integrates two adjustable heel lifter positions, designed to adapt to different inclines during uphill progression: a low position for moderate terrain and a higher one for steep sections, reducing calf fatigue on long outings. Switching from ascent to descent mode is quick and intuitive, without additional tools.

• Plate width: 80 mm
• Patented automatic front step-in
• Two heel lifter heights for ascent
• Compatible with ski touring boots conforming to WTR/ISO 9523 standard
• Ultralight composite structure

A solid choice for alpine excursions in variable environments, where ease of use and lightness make a difference on the most demanding days.
