DESCRIPTION
The Wild Country Xenon HMS Trilock is a pear-shaped HMS locking carabiner, specifically designed for belaying and building anchors on multi-pitch routes. The asymmetrical cross-section allows the rope to run smoothly during belaying with a Munter hitch, maintaining the correct position of the device even under dynamic load.
Locking and Safety Mechanism
The self-locking Tri-Lock gate system requires three distinct movements to open the gate: lift, twist, and open. This mechanism effectively eliminates the risk of forgetting to close the carabiner in stressful or distracting situations, a concrete advantage when managing a demanding anchor. The Trilock version is offered alongside the Wire Gate variant, which further reduces the overall weight of the equipment.
