Wild Country Xenon Hms Screwgate Belay Carabiner
Wild Country Xenon Hms Screwgate Belay Carabiner - Grey is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Wild Country Xenon HMS Screwgate is a screwgate carabiner designed for belaying and anchoring with a Munter hitch (HMS). Its asymmetric pear shape ensures the rope runs correctly during belaying and rope retrieval, reducing the risk of accidental carabiner inversion even under load.
Technical features
The pear geometry is designed to keep the HMS hitch in the correct position, preventing the knot from migrating towards the gate during use. The manual screwgate ensures a positive and visually verifiable closure, which is essential when setting up an anchor on multi-pitch routes. The version with a wire locking lever helps keep the carabiner oriented correctly on the anchor point, reducing the need for constant adjustments.
- HMS (asymmetric pear) shape optimized for the Munter hitch
- Screwgate for secure and verifiable closure
- Available with wire lever for orientation stabilization
- Generous dimensions for high usability even with gloves
- High-strength aluminum alloy construction
Ideal use
This carabiner is perfectly suited for belay management on multi-pitch and big wall routes, where reliability and ease of use are absolute priorities. The combination of the wide gate opening and the pear shape also makes it suitable as a main connector for belay systems with tuber-style devices or for direct use with a Munter hitch, without the need for additional devices.
