DESCRIPTION
The Wild Country Straight Gate Session is a versatile carabiner designed for sport climbing, from crags to the climbing gym. Its balanced geometry makes it suitable for both lead climbing and organizing your crash pad, quickdraws, or anchors.
Construction and Materials
The body is hot-forged from high-strength aluminum alloy, with an I-beam spine that eliminates excess material while maintaining structural rigidity. The result is an excellent balance between low weight and load capacity. The Keylock nose—without a protruding hook—drastically reduces the risk of snagging on slings, protection, and chain links, making clipping smoother and safer even under stress.
Technical Specifications
- Straight gate for controlled opening and precise clipping
- Compact and linear closure mechanism, with a clear and reliable snap
- Keylock nose for clean un-clipping without snagging
- I-beam spine for optimized strength-to-weight ratio
- Black color
The Session falls into the category of carabiners for intensive daily use: light enough not to add excessive weight to your gear, robust enough to withstand repeated training sessions. The straight gate makes it particularly suitable for those who prefer a decisive and direct clipping action, without the risk of accidental openings typical of bent gates.
