DESCRIPTION
The Wild Country Friend 0.75 is a four-lobe camming device made of high-strength aluminum alloy, designed for placements in medium-small cracks. With an expansion range that covers the most common sizes in traditional crack climbing, it can be easily placed and removed even in awkward positions or with one hand.
Mechanics and Construction
The mechanism is based on the principle of the eccentric cam lobe, the same one introduced by Wild Country in the 1970s and refined over decades. The four optimally shaped lobes ensure an even load distribution on the rock, reducing the risk of walking even in parallel cracks. The rigid aluminum stem allows for precise placement and direct load transmission without unwanted yielding.
