DESCRIPTION
The Wild Country Electron Sport is a sport climbing quickdraw designed for those who want reliable and easy-to-manage equipment for both crags and sport routes. Its popularity stems from a concrete balance between robustness, ease of use, and an affordable price, making it a sensible choice for those building their rack as well as those looking to supplement proven gear.
Carabiners and geometry
Both carabiners are made of high-strength aluminum with an ergonomic asymmetrical shape that facilitates one-handed opening, even while wearing gloves or with fatigued fingers after a long section. The wide gate opening reduces the force needed to clip the rope, a detail that makes a difference during a fall or in pumpy situations. The lower carabiner is oriented to hold the rope stably in position and reduce the risk of unintentional twisting of the quickdraw on the dogbone.
Technical specifications
- Dogbone length: 12 cm
- Forged aluminum carabiners with an asymmetrical D-shape
- Major axis strength: 24 kN
- CE EN 12275 certification
- Dyneema/nylon dogbone with stiffened rope loop
With its 12 cm length, the Electron Sport is well-suited for routes with close protection or slightly winding lines, reducing rope drag without adding excessive weight to the gear. It's a versatile length and among the most commonly used for modern sport climbing.
