DESCRIPTION
The Vectiv™ Infinite II are The North Face's long-distance trail running shoes, built around proprietary VECTIV™ technology that combines three distinct elements to optimize propulsion with every stride: a dual-density 3D Pebax® plate, a rocker geometry midsole, and the SurfaceCTRL™ outsole. The result is a stable and reactive platform, designed for those tackling long distances on mixed terrain.
Technology and Construction
The dual-density Pebax® plate works in synergy with the rocker shape of the midsole to reduce energy expenditure and absorb the repeated stresses typical of long-distance races and training. The SurfaceCTRL™ outsole ensures reliable traction on varied surfaces, from compact singletrack to soft ground, adapting to changes in surface without losing grip. The toe box is constructed with a soft design that reduces pressure points on the toes during prolonged descents, one of the most common problems in ultras.
