DESCRIPTION
The Whiton 3L is a men's hardshell jacket from The North Face designed for those who don't want to choose between functionality and a clean look. Its main feature is the 3-layer DryVent™ membrane, a waterproof and breathable technology that blocks water and wind from the outside while allowing body vapor to escape, maintaining comfort even during prolonged exertion on wet trails or in variable weather conditions.
Construction and materials
The 3-layer construction—with the outer fabric, waterproof membrane, and inner lining integrated into a single laminated layer—eliminates the additional inner lining, reducing the overall weight and bulk of the jacket. The result is a lightweight shell with heat-sealed seams for complete protection at the seams, and a compact profile that easily pairs with a technical backpack without adding bulk.
Fit and adjustments
The zippered hand pockets offer enough space for a phone, keys, and small accessories without creating excessive bulk on the hip. The adjustment system on the hems, cuffs, and hood allows you to customize the seal against the elements according to the situation, effectively sealing openings during gusts of wind or heavy rain. The hood is helmet-compatible, a useful detail also in light alpine trekking contexts.
