DESCRIPTION
The Salomon X Ultra 5 Gore-Tex is a low-cut hiking shoe designed for those seeking agility on trails without compromising stability and protection in any weather conditions. The integrated Gore-Tex membrane ensures certified waterproofing and constant breathability, keeping the foot dry whether it's raining or crossing streams.
Construction and materials
The upper is made of Matryx®, a composite material that combines Dyneema® and Kevlar® fibers with TPU to offer excellent abrasion resistance while keeping the overall weight down. The collar and heel integrate the SensiFit™ system, which progressively wraps the foot for a precise and stable fit even on uneven terrain. The padded tongue and upper construction reduce pressure points during long outings.
Sole and terrain performance
- Contagrip® MA outsole with optimized lug geometry for uphill grip and downhill hold on mixed terrain
- EVA Cushioning midsole for effective cushioning without weighing down your stride
- Integrated rock protection plate to shield the sole of the foot from stones
