DESCRIPTION
The Salomon Trail Gaiters High are high gaiters designed for trail running and hiking, intended to keep everything a trail might throw at you out of your footwear: gravel, sand, snow, thorns, tall grass, and debris. Unlike low gaiters, the high cut provides extended coverage that also protects the ankle from bumps with branches and dense vegetation along the trail.
Construction and compatibility
The fastening system is designed to adapt to both trail running shoes and light hiking boots, thanks to a front hook that attaches to the sole and a rear elastic that stably hugs the heel. The top closes with an adjustable velcro, allowing them to be put on and taken off quickly even with dirty hands or gloves.
Materials and fit
- Abrasion-resistant fabric, suitable for technical terrain and dense vegetation
- Perimeter elastic that keeps the gaiter snug against the shoe without slipping during running
- High profile that covers the ankle for superior protection compared to low versions
- Unisex fit, compatible with most Salomon and non-Salomon footwear
They are a concrete solution for those facing races or outings on dusty trails, mixed terrain, or winter routes where wet snow tends to get between the shoe and pants. Lightweight and compressible, they can be carried in a backpack without taking up space.
