The SALEWA Pura is a hybrid construction climbing helmet, designed for those seeking solid and reliable protection both at the crag and in the mountains. The combination of an injected ABS outer shell (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) with an EPS inner shell (Expanded Polystyrene) ensures effective impact dissipation, both from falling rocks and in the event of a direct head impact.
Construction and protection
The hybrid ABS+EPS structure represents a proven approach in the industry: ABS absorbs and distributes impact forces on the surface, while the EPS layer dissipates them internally, reducing the energy transmitted to the skull. This type of construction offers a good balance between mechanical resistance and lightness, making it suitable for both sport climbing and multi-pitch routes.
Fit and adjustment
The rear dial adjustment system allows the helmet to be precisely adapted to the head circumference, even with one hand, without having to remove gloves or interrupt progression. The adjustable chin strap completes the retention system, ensuring a stable fit during movement. The one-size-fits-all adjustable feature makes it compatible with a wide range of head circumferences, eliminating the problem of choosing the correct size.
