DESCRIPTION
The SALEWA Ortles Hybrid Tirolwool® Responsive Vest is an insulated men's vest designed for those tackling intense alpine activities in cold conditions, where active thermal management makes the difference between comfort and hypothermia. Unlike traditional down vests, this model adopts a hybrid logic that combines high-performance materials in strategic areas of the body.
TirolWool® Responsive Insulation Technology
The core of the vest is TirolWool® Responsive, the exclusive padding developed by SALEWA that blends merino wool fibers with highly reactive synthetic fibers. This combination allows the insulation to actively adapt to the intensity of effort: when the body produces excess heat, the fibers open up to increase breathability; when activity decreases, the structure compacts to retain heat. Merino wool also contributes to moisture management and odor control, maintaining its insulating properties even when sweating.
Hybrid Construction and Alpine Fit
- Stretch fabric panels in areas subject to greater muscular activity to promote freedom of movement
- Hybrid construction with differentiated materials by zone: greater insulation on the core, breathable technical fabrics on the sides
