The SALEWA Eagle Light Crew socks are designed for those who tackle trails and via ferratas in warm seasons, where the foot must remain dry, cool, and comfortable even under prolonged exertion. The textile blend chosen by SALEWA combines a high percentage of recycled polyamide with plant-based Tencel™ Lyocell fibers: the polyamide ensures abrasion resistance and quick drying, while Lyocell — derived from certified wood cellulose — contributes to natural thermoregulation superior to pure synthetic fibers.
Breathability and microclimate management
Tencel™ Lyocell fibers efficiently absorb moisture and quickly release it outwards, keeping the internal temperature of the shoe lower compared to standard polyester socks. This results in prolonged perceived freshness and a significant reduction in the bacterial proliferation responsible for unpleasant odors — a feature particularly appreciated during multi-hour summer outings or high-intensity physical days.
