DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Ascension DX is an ascender designed for rope ascent in big wall climbing, technical mountaineering, and vertical operations. The DX version is for the right hand and features ergonomics designed to ensure efficiency even under prolonged exertion.
Construction and Ergonomics
The aluminum body houses a soft overmolded grip that increases hold even with gloves or wet hands. The contoured upper part allows effective pulls with both one and two hands, reducing muscle fatigue during ascents on long pitches. The cam mechanism ensures reliable locking on ropes with a diameter between 8 and 13 mm.

- The large lower hole allows simultaneous connection of two carabiners, facilitating the setup of a foot loop system without operational hindrance.
- The opening lever can be operated with one hand, useful during maneuvers on the wall.
