DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Lynx Leverlock Universel is a technical 14-point crampon designed for those tackling challenging high-mountain terrain: from hard-packed snow couloirs to vertical ice routes, and mixed rock-ice climbs. Its distinguishing feature is the modularity of the front system, which allows the front points to be configured in four different setups — short monopoint, long monopoint, classic dual-point, or asymmetric dual-point — adapting the crampon to the specific needs of the climb without having to change equipment.
Binding system and compatibility
The Leverlock Universel system uses a rigid rear locking lever combined with an adjustable heel piece, ensuring a secure and stable attachment on all boots with a rear welt, whether technical mountaineering or ice climbing boots. The high-strength steel central frame ensures torsional rigidity even under significant loads, a fundamental requirement in vertical sections or during frontpointing.
