DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Shell LT is a protective case specifically designed for transporting and storing Petzl headlamps, compatible with BINDI, TIKKID, TIKKINA, TIKKA, TIKKA CORE, ACTIK, ACTIK CORE, and SWIFT RL models. This compact solution addresses two needs at once: protecting the headlamp during transport in a backpack and transforming it into a camp lantern when stationary at a bivouac or in a tent.
Functionality and Compatibility
The case encloses the headlamp's light unit, protecting it from impacts, scratches, and dirt during transport—particularly useful for ski mountaineering excursions where equipment is constantly stressed. Its internal geometry is designed to precisely fit compatible models without excessive play or pressure on the lens.
The lantern function is activated by simply placing the headlamp inside the Shell LT with the light beam oriented towards the translucent surface: the light is evenly diffused into the environment, eliminating the dark spots typical of a direct beam. Ideal for illuminating the inside of a bivouac, reading a map, or preparing equipment at base camp without having to hold the headlamp in your hand or wear it on your head.
