DESCRIPTION
The ASAP'SORBER 40 CM is an energy absorber developed by Petzl for exclusive use in conjunction with ASAP and ASAP LOCK mobile fall arresters. Its primary function is to allow working at a distance from the rope, maintaining active fall protection without compromising the integrity of the safety line during work at height.
Technology and Construction
The absorption system is based on a tear-webbing lanyard which, in the event of a fall, progressively deploys to dissipate impact energy and reduce the force transmitted to the body. The webbing is housed in a case that opens at the ends, which serves a dual function: it protects the material from abrasion during daily use and allows for a quick visual inspection of the device's internal condition before use.
