The Ortovox Peak Light 40 was created with a clear objective: to carry everything necessary to the alpine peaks, without an extra gram more than needed. It is a 40-liter backpack designed for high-altitude alpine trekking and demanding ski touring, where every construction choice is driven by a logic of weight reduction without sacrificing structural strength.
Construction and materials
The shell is made from ultralight, high-tenacity technical fabrics, capable of withstanding the abrasion from rock and ice that characterizes the most challenging alpine routes. The design is deliberately essential: no decorative elements, no accessory systems that add unnecessary weight. Instead, all the essential functional supports for high mountains remain, including ice axe attachments, attachment points for snowshoes, and a safety pocket compatible with Ortovox's Avalanche Rescue system.
Fit and carrying system
