The ORTOVOX Ascent 30 is a technical ski touring backpack designed for those tackling demanding days at high altitudes, where lightness and organization of safety equipment are non-negotiable. The S (SHORT) version is specifically developed for individuals with a shorter torso: the back panel is proportioned in height to ensure a precise fit and optimal weight transfer even on steep terrain.
Carry System and Safety
The backpack integrates a dedicated compartment for airbag equipment and an internal organization designed to keep the shovel, probe, and avalanche transceiver immediately accessible in case of emergency. The attachment system for crampons and skis – both diagonal and A-frame – makes it versatile for mixed approaches on snow and rock. The 30-liter capacity is calibrated for long days without excessive weight and bulk.
