Ortovox's 185 Rock'n'Wool Long Pants are women's thermal long johns designed specifically for freeride activities: they function as a first insulating layer against the skin, managing moisture and heat in the most demanding conditions of winter mountains.
Construction and Materials
The fabric is made from 100% Merino wool with a weight of 185 g/m², a density calibrated to offer effective insulation without hindering movement. Merino wool of this quality is naturally thermoregulating: it retains heat when the temperature drops and dissipates excess moisture during intense efforts, avoiding the uncomfortable "wet" effect that compromises comfort at altitude. Unlike synthetic fibers, it does not develop odors even after hours of continuous use.
