DESCRIPTION
The LEKI Shark Frame is a trekking pole strap designed to optimize power transmission during mountain hiking. Unlike traditional straps, the Shark Frame system wraps 360 degrees around the hand thanks to its unibody construction, eliminating seams and joints that could create pressure points.
Construction and materials
The strap is made from a single continuous piece, with an anatomical cut that follows the natural shape of the hand. The inner surface is lined with soft, breathable material, which reduces friction and heat buildup during prolonged use. The wide support area evenly distributes pressure on the back of the hand, preventing discomfort even after hours of continuous use.
Biomechanical function
The geometry of the Shark Frame is designed to actively support the push phase on the pole and facilitate the return movement of the arm, contributing to a more efficient walking rhythm on technical ascents and descents. The secure but flexible fit allows for a natural grip without unnecessarily tensing the hand, reducing muscle fatigue over long ascents and descents.
