DESCRIPTION
The LEKI Guide Lite JR is the first ski touring pole specifically designed for children and teenagers, intended to safely accompany them on high-altitude ascents without compromising comfort or technical performance.
Construction and adjustment
The shaft is made of lightweight aluminum, with a length adjustment system that allows the pole to adapt to the child's growth and different terrain conditions — shorter for ascents, longer for descents. The carbide tip ensures excellent grip on packed snow and mixed terrain, which is essential when youngsters are learning to manage changes in gradient.
Grip and safety strap
- The soft, non-slip rubber grip is contoured for small hands, offering a secure hold even with thick ski touring gloves.
- The adjustable polyamide (PA) safety strap fits snugly around the child's wrist, reducing the risk of losing the pole during a fall.
- The interchangeable snow basket is sized for typical winter conditions encountered on junior ski touring routes.
