The La Sportiva Aequilibrium LT GTX is an alpine hiking boot designed for those tackling challenging routes with heavy backpacks, multi-day treks, and high altitudes. Its construction integrates technical solutions derived from mountaineering, translated into footwear suitable for long journeys on varied and uneven terrain.

Technology and Construction

The proprietary Double Heel™ system is at the heart of the design: the particularly pronounced double-lug geometry at the back increases the braking surface on descents, reducing forward foot slippage within the boot and improving control on steep terrain. The same geometry promotes a natural stride roll, a critical element during long distances with heavy loads. The upper is protected by a Gore-Tex® membrane, which ensures certified waterproofing and active breathability in typical alpine hiking conditions, where rain, wet snow, and humidity frequently alternate.
