The Karpos Highest Goretex Shell Pants are full-featured technical hardshell pants, designed for mountaineering on challenging terrain, where exposure to the elements is prolonged and resistance to abrasion on rock and ice is crucial. These are not a lightweight hiking compromise: these pants meet the needs of those tackling serious alpine routes, steep ski touring, and glacier expeditions.
Construction and Materials
The shell is made of 3-layer Gore-Tex® Pro, the highest-performing variant in the Gore-Tex range, which guarantees total waterproofing, wind resistance, and high breathability even under intense exertion. The 3-layer construction — where the laminate is bonded directly to the outer fabric and inner lining — eliminates bulky liners and keeps the pants lightweight, compact, and highly abrasion-resistant, a fundamental quality on mixed terrain with sections of rock or ice.
