DESCRIPTION
The EDELRID Tommy Caldwell ECO DRY CT 9.3 mm is the result of a collaboration with one of the strongest big wall climbers in the world, Tommy Caldwell, and reflects the extreme demands of those who tackle long and challenging vertical walls. With a diameter of 9.3 mm and a length of 60 meters, it falls into the category of lightweight single dynamic ropes, where the balance between weight and strength is critical.
Technology and construction
The ECO DRY treatment waterproofs both the core and the sheath with a low-environmental-impact formulation, UIAA Water Repellent certified, which reduces water absorption in snowy, rainy, or icy conditions — essential when rappelling on large walls takes a long time and the weather changes. Color Tec technology produces a clear color change at the middle of the rope, integrated directly into the braid structure as a permanent central marking: it does not fade with wear and does not require subsequent treatments.
