DESCRIPTION
The Edelrid Roseg Dry 8.3 mm is a half rope for climbing designed for those who tackle challenging alpine environments: long rock routes, classic mountaineering, and glacier traverses are the contexts in which it best expresses its technical qualities.
Construction and Technical Performance
With a diameter of 8.3 mm and a weight of just 47 g/m, the Roseg Dry effectively balances strength and weight containment. The sheath's structure, which accounts for 36% of the total construction, ensures abrasion resistance on edges and mixed terrain, while maintaining smooth handling through quickdraws. The 60-meter length makes it suitable for routes with long pitches, where every meter less of rope translates into saved weight on the wall.
UIAA Certified Dry Treatment
The Dry treatment with UIAA Water Repellency certification is applied to both the core and the sheath, ensuring resistance to water absorption even in snowy, rainy, and icy conditions. A wet rope can significantly increase weight and reduce dynamic performance: the water-repellent treatment keeps the rope's mechanical properties stable even in prolonged humid environments. The Icemint Snow color facilitates visual identification on the wall when rappelling with a second half rope.
