DESCRIPTION
The EDELRID Mission SET is a quickdraw designed for those who want to reduce weight without compromising performance in mountaineering and traditional climbing. With a length of 14 cm, it offers a versatile size, suitable for both progression on mountain routes and rock sections where gear management is critical.
Construction and materials
The webbing is made of HMPE (High Modulus Polyethylene), an extremely strong fiber with a significantly lower specific weight compared to traditional nylon, which results in an overall lighter quickdraw without losing structural solidity. The width varies between 15 and 22 mm with a shaped geometry, which also contributes to anti-torsion stability when used on irregularly oriented protection.
Carabiners and mechanism
Both carabiners included in the set feature the Keylock closure system, meaning no hook on the nose: this solution eliminates the risk of the carabiner accidentally snagging on ropes, protection, or slings during clipping operations, making clipping and unclipping faster and safer even with gloves or under stress.
