DYNAFIT Crampons 100 Mm - Orange is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The 100 mm DYNAFIT ski crampons are toothed metal inserts designed to increase the grip of the binding's toe piece on the ski's base during ascents. When snow turns into compact ice or hard, icy surfaces, the crampon comes into direct contact with the snowpack, ensuring significantly superior mechanical grip compared to the binding's sole alone.
Technical Features
Their 100 mm width makes them compatible with most DYNAFIT ski touring bindings, both entry-level and competition models. The construction focuses on extreme lightness, a fundamental characteristic for an accessory carried uphill for the entire duration of the excursion: every gram saved on equipment translates into less fatigue over long distances. The metal teeth ensure durability and consistent bite even after numerous outings.
When and Why to Use Them
In conditions of icy snow, breakable crust, or hard morning slopes, ascending without ski crampons can become risky: the ski tends to slip sideways, and control is drastically reduced. By mounting these inserts on the binding, each step gains stability and safety, making routes accessible that would otherwise require the use of full crampons. They are particularly recommended for ski mountaineering races and high-altitude excursions where lightness is non-negotiable but safety remains a priority.
