DESCRIPTION
The CRAZY Levity Glove is a mountaineering mitt designed for those facing extreme cold conditions at high altitudes without wanting to compromise on low weight. The secret lies in the insulating material: Diamond Down, the same selected goose down used in the Levity jacket from the same brand, considered among the lightest and most performing in the world.
Insulation and structure
Diamond Down is a very fine quality down with Fill Power 950/1000 cuin, a value that indicates exceptional lofting ability and, consequently, very high thermal efficiency despite minimal weight. The outer fabric is an ultralight bi-elastic nylon weighing only 18 g/m², which ensures complete freedom of movement and adapts to the shape of the hand without creating stiffness. The mitt construction maximizes heat retention, eliminating the thermal bridges typical of separate fingers.
Use in mountaineering context
These mitts are ideally suited as a main thermal layer for winter mountaineering trips or as an outer layer in situations where wind and very low temperatures require reliable insulation. Thanks to the extreme compressibility of the down, the glove packs into a very small space and can be quickly stowed in a backpack or pocket during intense activity, to be retrieved in a few seconds at the first stop.
