DESCRIPTION
The Castelli Viso Face Mask is a face mask designed for cyclists in conditions of intense cold and wind, protecting the face without compromising breathability. The front panel is made of GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® X-Fast fabric, a certified windproof membrane that blocks airflow even on high-speed descents, maintaining body heat in the facial area where heat loss is quickest.
Construction and materials
The inner area is lined with Warmer fabric, a soft and insulating layer that ensures direct comfort on the skin even during the longest winter rides. The mask's profile is shaped to cover the lower part of the ears, eliminating the exposure gap that often occurs between helmet and neck. The fit is designed to adapt under a cycling helmet without creating pressure or material bunching.
When to use it
- Winter rides with temperatures below 5°C
- Fast descents with prolonged exposure to headwind
- Training in conditions of sidewind or icy wind
- Combine with a thin balaclava or helmet with reduced ventilation
