DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Oval XL 3lock is an oval carabiner made of aluminum alloy designed for the most demanding vertical applications, where the geometry of the connector makes the difference between a smooth maneuver and an unexpected event. Its oval shape ensures that the load always remains centered on the main axis, making it the ideal choice whenever working with descenders, ascenders, pulleys, and self-locking systems.
Construction and geometry
The H-profile cross-section is at the heart of the design: it distributes material where it is truly needed, eliminating bulk where it is not, thus combining high strength with low weight. The wide opening and contoured internal walls facilitate the positioning and smooth movement of mechanical devices without them snagging or rotating uncontrollably during use.
Locking system and safety
- Triple-action locking gate (3lock): requires three distinct actions to open the gate, minimizing the risk of accidental opening in stressful situations or with gloves.
