DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Dyon represents a concrete evolution in the design of climbing carabiners, solving one of the most common problems of wire gate models: the snagging notch. Thanks to KeyWire technology, the gate incorporates a special insert that allows direct connection with the carabiner body, completely eliminating the protruding element that in traditional wire gate models tends to snag on ropes, harnesses, and quickdraws during dynamic maneuvers.
Technology and Geometry
The Dyon's nose adopts the SphereLock geometry, a spherical shape that optimizes rope contact during loads and reduces friction when opening, ensuring smooth operation even with gloves or wet hands. The combination of the KeyWire gate and SphereLock nose makes this carabiner particularly suitable for use at belay stations, progression on bolted routes, and rope management for top-roping.
