DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond Stopper are passive aluminum alloy nuts that represent one of the fundamental protections for traditional climbing. The Stopper #7 model is designed for medium-sized cracks and is part of the complete range of 13 sizes that covers the entire spectrum of passive protections.
Construction and geometry
The body of the nut is milled from high-strength aluminum alloy with a transversal taper that distinguishes it from traditional nuts: this geometry allows for placement not only in parallel cracks, but also in flared or bell-shaped cracks, greatly expanding the possibilities of protection on irregular rock. The stainless steel cable is swaged directly to the body to ensure maximum reliability under load.
Quick identification and use on the wall
- Color anodization by size: each size has a dedicated color, allowing the correct nut to be identified in a few seconds even during a challenging climb
