DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond Camalot C4 in size 6 is a double-axle cam with progressive expansion, designed to protect wide cracks ranging from 114.1 mm to 195.0 mm. This version has been completely redesigned from the previous generation: the weight has been reduced by 10% while maintaining the certified strength, a result achieved through sculpted cams with optimized geometry and a lightened steel stem without compromising structural rigidity.
Construction and Technical Data
The high-strength aluminum alloy cams feature a redesigned profile that ensures a constant contact angle throughout the expansion range, improving grip on both granite and sandstone rock. The single wire trigger allows for precise operation even with one hand and climbing gloves. The flexible Dyneema stem reduces the torque on the cam during a fall, lowering the risk of accidental removal from the crack.
