DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond Camalot C4 in size 4 is the most popular double-axle cam in traditional climbing, now redesigned in every component to offer a better balance between weight and strength. Compared to the previous generation, it gains a 10% weight reduction without any compromise to structural integrity, thanks to carved aluminum lobes with optimized geometry that maintain an unchanged friction coefficient on rock surfaces.

- Dyneema stem replacing the traditional wire cable, offering greater flexibility and overall weight reduction
- Single unit trigger for precise operation even with gloves or in awkward positions

- Purple color for immediate identification on the wall and in your pack
- Compatible with cracks in the range 57.2–88.9 mm
Usage on the wall
Size 4 covers large cracks, typical of granite or sandstone routes where intermediate protection requires absolute reliability. The new cam geometry ensures uniform contact across the entire support surface, reducing the risk of slipping in irregular cracks. Its light weight makes it compatible with full racks on long alpine routes, where every gram on the quickdraw counts.
