DESCRIPTION
The BEAL Opera 8.5mm Unicore sets a precise benchmark in the world of single climbing ropes: weighing 48 grams per meter, it is the first single rope to drop below the 50 g/m threshold, combining a diameter of just 8.5 mm with the performance of a professional competition rope.
Technology and construction
The core of the project is Unicore technology, which thermally bonds the core and sheath along the entire length of the rope, eliminating sheath slippage even in the event of partial sheath cuts. In addition, the DRY Cover treatment waterproofs the sheath fibers to reduce the absorption of water, snow, and ice, maintaining consistent performance in alpine conditions and on wet crags. The low impact force ensures progressive fall arrest, reducing stress on partners, protection, and anchors.
