DESCRIPTION
The BEAL Joker Soft 9.1mm is a climbing rope certified simultaneously as a single, half, and twin rope — one of the very few on the market to combine all three EN/UIAA certifications in a single product with a 9.1 mm diameter. This versatility makes it suitable for widely different technical contexts: from rock climbing on crags to ridge progression, from mixed routes to ice, up to classic mountaineering where conditions change rapidly and the rope must adapt without compromise.
Technologies and Construction
BEAL's Unicore construction fuses the core with the sheath through a thermal bonding process, eliminating relative slippage between the two layers and ensuring a uniform response during falls. The DRY Cover treatment waterproofs the outer sheath, reducing water absorption even in rainy, snowy conditions or when passing over ice — a critical factor for maintaining consistent weight and handling during the outing.
