DESCRIPTION
The BEAL Gully 7.3mm is an ice climbing and technical mountaineering rope that combines low weight with dual certification: it can be used as both a half (½) rope and a twin (∞) rope, offering rare versatility for this diameter. At just 7.3 mm in diameter, it represents one of the lightest solutions available for mixed ascents, icefalls, and demanding alpine routes.
Technologies and construction
The core of the Gully is BEAL's UNICORE technology, which welds the outer sheath to the inner core along the entire length of the rope. This eliminates the risk of sheath slippage in the event of a partial cut, significantly increasing safety in case of mechanical damage. The Golden DRY treatment protects both the core and the sheath from water and ice absorption, maintaining the rope's dynamic properties even in intensely wet conditions, where an untreated rope can absorb up to 50% of its weight in water, becoming stiff and losing effectiveness.
