The Atomic Backland 22+ is a technical backpack with a 22-liter capacity (expandable with the "+" suffix) designed for demanding ski touring outings and mountain endurance sessions. Its compact yet well-organized volume makes it suitable for both long ascents and fast descents, without sacrificing load stability.
Construction and materials
The main body is made of high tear-resistant ripstop fabric, which keeps the overall weight of the backpack low while ensuring reliable durability in alpine environments. The roll-top opening is the primary closure system: it allows for adjusting the available volume and keeps the contents insulated from moisture and snow, both when the backpack is fully loaded on the ascent and when it's partially empty on the descent — avoiding the annoying "bouncing empty" effect.
