Atomic Backland Carbon Men's Ski Touring Boot
Atomic Backland Carbon Men's Ski Touring Boot - Black / 25 is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Atomic Backland Carbon is the flagship ski touring boot in the Backland series, designed for those who refuse to compromise on ascents or descents. With a DIN 110 flex index, it is the stiffest model in the range and is aimed at technical skiers seeking responsiveness and power transmission on challenging terrain.
Construction and materials
The structure uses Prolite technology with carbon fiber inserts, which keeps the overall weight of the boot down to just 1,190 g per boot in size 27/27.5, without sacrificing the torsional stiffness needed to control high-end ski touring skis. The overlap between the upper and shell ensures an anatomical, enveloping fit, reducing pressure points during long days in the mountains.
Ascent and descent performance
- Ascent mode forward lean angle of up to 67°, for a natural and efficient stride on any slope
- Compatibility with PIN/Tech and frame bindings, for maximum versatility in binding choice
- Vibram IceFlex rubber sole, optimized for grip on ice and rock
- Grilamid shell with carbon reinforcements for structural lightness and lateral stiffness
- 3-micro-adjustment closure system with boa and aluminum levers for a precise and repeatable fit
The Backland Carbon is the right choice for the ski mountaineer tackling advanced ski touring routes—from the Haute Route to ski-mo races—where every gram counts but performance on descents in hard snow or off-piste conditions is non-negotiable.
Fit
Measurements in Mondopoint (MP): the number corresponds to the length of the foot in centimeters (e.g., 27 = 27/27.5). Measure your foot from heel to big toe while standing and wearing ski socks, and choose the corresponding size; if in doubt, contact us before ordering.
Pair with: Atomic Backland 85 UL Ski Touring Skis, Atomic Backland Pure Ski Touring Binding, Atomic Backland Carbon Tongue Shield Boot Reinforcement
