Atomic Backland Carbon Men's Ski Touring Boot
Atomic Backland Carbon Men's Ski Touring Boot - Black / 26 is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Atomic Backland Carbon is the highest-performing ski touring boot in the Backland range, designed for those who refuse to compromise on either the ascent or the descent. The flagship model in an already well-established series, it stands out for its construction, which never sacrifices control on snow for lightness.
Structure and materials
The carbon fiber Prolite structure is the technical heart of the boot: it ensures high stiffness and a responsive feel during the descent, while its low weight reduces fatigue on long climbs. Its high flex index places it in the "Speed" category without sacrificing touring versatility, making it suitable for both demanding high-altitude outings and ski mountaineering races. The high-resistance thermoplastic upper ensures a precise, anatomical fit, while the inner boot directly transmits the foot's inputs to the boot.
Performance and recommended use
- Walk/ski mode with an efficient locking system that can be operated quickly even while wearing gloves
- Compatibility with technical ski touring bindings using both toe and heel interfaces
- Vibram sole (or compatible) for reliable traction on mixed terrain and ice
- Optimized cuff opening for a natural stride on the ascent
It is the right choice for experienced ski mountaineers tackling technical, steep, and exposed routes, where precision on the descent is as important as performance at altitude.
Fit
Sizing in Mondopoint (MP): the number corresponds to the length of the foot in centimeters (e.g., 27 = 27/27.5). Measure your foot from heel to big toe while standing and wearing ski socks, then choose the corresponding size; if in doubt, contact us before placing your order.
