DESCRIPTION
The Atomic Shift 13 MN is Atomic's hybrid freetouring binding: on the ascent it works like a pin binding, on the descent it becomes a true freeride binding with a heel piece and downhill toe piece. It was born from the suggestions of Atomic freeride athletes for those who climb towards isolated slopes and then want to ride hard.
Ascent and descent
Just turn the Hike and Ride lever to switch from ascent mode, with the pins, to descent mode. On the descent, the release is adjustable from 6 to 13 and the binding is TÜV certified for safety and release requirements.
Compatibility
- Multi Norm Certified (MN): compatible with all certified boots, alpine (ISO 5355), ski touring (ISO 9523), WTR and GripWalk
- On the ascent it requires boots with pin inserts
- On the descent, certified toe and heel are required: it is not suitable for lightweight ski touring boots with reduced soles, such as the Backland
- Available with 100 and 110 mm ski stoppers; Shift crampons from 100 and 120 mm
Fit
The mounting and adjustment of the binding must be done by a technician based on the length of the boot sole and the weight, height and level of the skier. Available with 100 and 110 mm ski stoppers, to be chosen based on the width at the center of the ski.
