DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Pur'anneau is a sewn sling made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene), a material that offers a significantly superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to traditional nylon. This construction choice results in a product with certified strength at 22 kN while maintaining a low weight – a feature that makes it a preferred choice for those who want to reduce the weight of their rack without compromising reliability.
Construction and Handling
The sewn structure of the sling guarantees superior flexibility compared to knotable slings, simplifying placement on anchors, bolts, and natural protections even with gloves or in cold conditions. The closing seam is colored and varies according to size: this system allows for quick identification of the correct length during activity, without having to read labels or estimate by eye.
Available Sizes and Uses
- Three sizes available, differentiated by seam color for immediate recognition
- Suitable for use as a sling for anchors, quickdraw extension, or anchoring on natural protections (spires, trees, hourglasses)
- Compatible with standard width carabiners thanks to the uniform section of the webbing
- HDPE material offers good abrasion resistance compared to pure Dyneema fiber, while maintaining high lightness
A practical solution for those who practice rock climbing, mountaineering, or via ferrata and are looking for a reliable, manageable, and easy-to-handle sling even in moments of high concentration.
