DESCRIPTION
The Verto Approach GTX was born from a direct collaboration with athletes from The North Face climbing team, with the goal of creating an approach shoe capable of covering the entire spectrum from the approach to the boulder, without compromising on lightness and protection.
Technical construction
The upper is made of Dyneema® ripstop, a highly tear-resistant fabric with one of the best strength-to-weight ratios available, which keeps the shoe light even after hours of use on mixed terrain. The GORE-TEX® inner membrane guarantees certified waterproofing and active breathability, which are essential when the approach crosses snowfields or wet grass early in the morning.
- Upper in Dyneema® ripstop – extreme lightness and high tear resistance
- GORE-TEX® membrane – certified waterproofing with breathability
- Full-coverage VIBRAM® Megagrip sole – high grip on wet and dry rock
- Low profile and precise fit for maximum ground feel
Where and how to use it
The full-coverage VIBRAM® Megagrip sole offers reliable traction on both compact trails and rock slabs, making the Verto Approach GTX suitable for both long approaches and the first low-difficulty pitches. Anyone who faces days that start with a long stretch on the trail and end on rock will find in this shoe a real balance between walking comfort and precision on footholds.
Pair with: Reinforced Straight Men's Mountaineering Pants, Men's Summit Breithorn Hooded Down Jacket, Base Camp Voyager Recycled Travel Toiletry Bag.
