The Edelrid Tommy Caldwell ECO DRY CT 9.3mm was born from a direct collaboration with Tommy Caldwell, one of the world's strongest big wall climbers, known for the first free ascent of the Dawn Wall on El Capitan. The project is not just a marketing exercise: the rope's specifications reflect the real needs of those who tackle long walls, multiple pitches, and variable weather conditions.

Technology and construction

The 9.3mm diameter offers a precise balance between handling and strength, with a length of 70 meters designed for long routes where every meter counts. The Color Tec technology integrates a clear color change directly into the braid, permanently marking the rope's midpoint without external markings that wear out over time. The ECO DRY treatment waterproofs both the core and the outer sheath, reducing water absorption and maintaining dynamic performance even in rain, snow, or high humidity.
