DESCRIPTION
The Beal Joker 9.1mm Unicore Golden DRY is a certified multi-use rope — single (1), half (½) and twin (∞) — designed for those who face varied climbing conditions and do not want to carry different ropes depending on the route. With a diameter of 9.1 mm, it sits in the segment of thin, high-performance ropes, where every gram and every millimeter of diameter makes a tangible difference to progress.
Construction and treatment
Beal's Unicore technology fuses the outer sheath with the inner core into a single solid element: this eliminates sheath slippage, keeps the rope compact even after intensive use and ensures greater uniformity in the distribution of forces during a fall. The Golden DRY treatment waterproofs both the core and the fiber sheath, making the rope resistant to water absorption in wet conditions, on snow or in wet cracks — situations in which an untreated rope can increase in weight and lose dynamic efficiency significantly.
Technical data
- Diameter: 9.1 mm
- Certification: single / half / twin
- Technology: Unicore (solid sheath and core)
- Treatment: Golden DRY (core + sheath)
- Color: Blue
Its smooth movement through quickdraws and soft feel make it suitable for both sport climbing on multi-pitch routes and technical mountaineering, where the ability to use it in a double configuration halves the weight in the rope team without compromising the safety of certified falls.
