DESCRIPTION
The Salewa Pura is a hybrid-construction climbing helmet designed for those seeking solid, reliable protection both at the crag and in the mountains. The combination of an injected ABS outer shell (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) with an EPS inner shell (Expanded Polystyrene) ensures effective impact dissipation, whether from falling rocks or a direct impact to the head.
Construction and protection
The hybrid ABS+EPS construction represents a proven approach in the industry: the ABS absorbs and distributes impact forces across the surface, while the EPS layer dissipates them internally, reducing the energy transmitted to the skull. This type of construction offers a good balance between mechanical strength and lightness, making it suitable for both sport climbing and multi-pitch routes.
Fit and adjustment
The rear dial adjustment system allows you to precisely adapt the helmet to your head circumference, even with one hand, without having to remove your gloves or stop your ascent. The adjustable chin strap completes the retention system, ensuring a stable fit during movement. The adjustable one-size-fits-all design makes it compatible with a wide range of head circumferences, eliminating the problem of choosing the correct size.
