DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Oxan Triact Lock is a high-strength steel locking carabiner developed for demanding work environments: work at height, rescue, industrial operations, and the setup of complex anchoring systems. Its symmetrical oval shape sets it apart from asymmetrical D-shaped carabiners: the symmetry allows the load to be distributed evenly on both sides, ensuring stable positioning when connected to metal structures, rings, pulleys, or horizontal bars.
Technical features
The steel construction gives the Oxan superior strength compared to aluminum versions, making it the right choice in environments where abrasion, impact with metal surfaces, and prolonged use are common. The Triact Lock locking system is an automatic lock with three sequential movements — lift, turn, open — that prevents the gate from opening accidentally even when handled with gloves or during rapid maneuvers.
