DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Vertigo Twist-Lock is an automatic locking connector designed specifically for rope access and vertical progression, where speed and safety in redirect maneuvers cannot be compromised. Its asymmetrical geometry offers a stable and intuitive grip even with gloves, making every connection and disconnection operation quick and controlled.
Closing and opening system
The Twist-Lock mechanism ensures automatic gate locking with a rotating system: a single twisting action is enough to open the connector, eliminating accidental openings during maneuvers. The Keylock system on the gate removes the traditional hook from the nose, so the connector doesn't snag on hangers, quick links, or other components of the anchor system.
Technical features
- Compatible with the Petzl positioning bar for organized management of progression lanyards
- Large gate opening for easy connection even in stressful situations or low visibility
- Construction in aluminum alloy for the right balance between strength and light weight
- Reference standard: EN 362 (connectors for personal protective equipment against falls from a height)
Ideal for rope access technicians, cavers, and mountaineers who manage frequent anchor changes, the Vertigo Twist-Lock reduces maneuver times at redirects while maintaining a certified level of reliability for professional use.
