Kong Ovalone Aluminum Twist Lock
Kong Ovalone Aluminum Twist Lock - Orange is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Kong Ovalone Alu Twist Lock is an oval aluminum locking carabiner with a screw lock, designed for those seeking reliability and practicality in belaying, rope descents, and rope work. The oval shape ensures an even distribution of the load on both sides and keeps the loads — pulleys, descenders, plates — always centered and stable, unlike asymmetrical carabiners.
Locking and safety system
The lock uses a 2-movement Twist Lock mechanism: to open the carabiner, you must turn the lock and pull the lever at the same time, reducing the risk of accidental opening during use. The Keylock system eliminates the protruding nose from the gate, preventing unwanted hooking onto ropes, harnesses, or nets and simplifying quick release even with gloves.
Construction and quality
- High-strength aluminum body, with a large lever opening for easy handling even with work gloves
- Entirely designed and produced in Italy by Kong, with quality control integrated into the production process
- Tested individually, piece by piece, not by sample: every unit passes load tests before being marketed
The combination of the oval shape, Twist Lock closure, and Keylock system makes this carabiner suitable for both sport climbing and professional rope activities, where the precision of connectors makes the difference.
